ECM issues...
Got a friend with a '87 IROC, Stock 305 TPI, stock just about everything actually.. anyway, his ECM seems to have stopped functioning.. he's replaced the ECM and reused the old prom/calpak, so I know it could still be the prom... however it's kinda weird since absolutely *nothing* works that requires the ecm.. no SES light at all, no fuel pump, no seat belt light.. I mean *nothing*.. and everything I've read suggests dead ECMs at least show some sign of life.. going to check tomorrow to make sure it has power, ground, etc etc.. try everything I can think of without replacing the prom.. anyone with experience in this area, things to look for would be greatly appreciated =)

I'd definitely look for a power or ground problem. Make sure and check the fusible links at the starter.
