Okay, the question is this:

spend money on an 800 carb with rpm air gap and fuel pump and also have to buy and paint a cowl induction hood. sacraficing milage and a little reliability.

-OR-

spend money on a modified lt1 intake, injectors, TB, AFPR, and custom prom, but not have to buy or paint hood. Increasing milage and reliability.

NOTE: car that will be recieving new engine has not been purchased yet. so computer and wiring are not a main factor to consider. Engine is a SB406 with pro topline heads, 5.7 rods, Hyp. pistons, a Comp XE-284 cam, 1.52 RR, SLP 1-3/4 headers, and a hooker catback. Running 700r4 with 3000 rpm stall and a 3.42 rear.

if you choose the first method, why would you want an RPM air gap? thats a single plane setup in my books.

The dyno simulator that I used liked it more and gave it a little better streetability. I wont rule out a single plane but I was leaning towards an air gap. Either way, it most likely wont fit under the hood.

IIRC, the victor Jr. #2975 is shorter than the RPM air gap
