How Hard Is It To Take Off Crossfire And Put On Carb?

Yes, I know that crossfire isnt very good, ive got ragged on it since I bought the car. Everyone tells me to pop on a carb, ok then, this is my question. How hard is it? what parts do I need, and the steps.. Can someone please take a little time and tell me what I need to buy, and from where, and how to hook it up, Ive changed carbs before, but that was only on a vehicle that already had a carb, so please, let me know all the steps I need to take, parts, directions, steps, and where to buy from and then I can get this little 305 of mine running pretty sweet, i love my crossfire as it is, but it still has the hesitation at takeoff and it drives me nuts, the headers and flowmaster made a great change too. So please guys, let me know what i need to do, I will always be checking, maybe you have the parts you can sell me? im ok with used parts if they work, so spill it out, thanks again

Nate

when i did tpi-carb the hardest parts were: finding the proper throttle bracketry, fabbing braided fuel lines for the regulator and carb (I didn't do this but would if I did the swap again), and retrofitting an auto-choke (again...) what kind of fuel pressure range does crossfire use? If it's 15 psi or below you're all set. If it's way up near 60 like tpi, than you'll need a mallory three-port fpr from summit and some custom braided line. Or bend your own steel if you want. That's the only major difference I can think of between a tbi to carb and a crossfire to carb swap. If your pump is only pushing around 15 psi, just read the tech article or talk to burnout. good luck - that's definitely one system that DESERVES replacement with a carb!

I've been checking in there occasionally for TBI information...
