Want a new motor.
I really want to get the biggest motor possible for my car after this one goes out. I have a while to decide, but have a few questions before the big descision. I have a 1989 Pontiac Trans Am. It has a 5.0 L Fuel injected motor in it. I want to know how big of a motor I can fit into it without being forced to move the firewall back, and make major frame harming changes. I've heard that you can fit a 454 in one, is this true? I want to keep the car exterior looking stock. I don't want people to know what I have under the hood, I really hate it when civics with their fart cans pull up next to me and think they can compete because I don't have the racing stickers that their 125 h.p. motors have. I want to fully trick my next motor out before putting it in the car. I want to push as much horsepower as possible. I also thought of making the car a mid engine car... but then the stock look goes out the window. Anyways, any imput would be great, I just joined the forum and you all seem to know what your talking about. Thanks.
