Which hedders should i put on my car?

I have an '83 TA. It is a 350 (I know they didnt come stock with 350's), which the previous owner dropped in. Im not exactly sure, but I was told that the engine is a 350 4 bolt main. Firs of all, how would I tell if it is truly a 350 4 bolt main (a vette engine??)? Second question, which hedders are the best to put in my car? I have heard that the SLP's are really good, as well as the Hooker's. Which are better? Any other suggestions? I want to also put in a new flowmaster system, so which would help me get the most horsepower for my money? Thanks.

the hookers are way cheaper than the slps - but you need to have a custom Y pipe made - Had mine done 3 inch for $150

------------------
91 z28 lb9 5 speed - hooker 1 5/8 headers - high flow cat- full 3 inch exhaust - home made ram air - tpis airfoil - dual chamber flowmaster - Stage 2 Jet Chip and 160 stat - 8 mm Msd plug wires - 55,000 v hypertech coil/rotor/distrib. cap - Mac. White face gauges - lots of sound system crap...

Dynomax 1 1/2" headers are way to small for a 350 if my 1 5/8" Edelbrocks are too small for my 350. I would suggest the SLP 1 3/4" for the 350 if you have the money, if not, the TES are another good choice.

Hooker what needs a custom y-pipe? What they call their Super Comp Shorties, p/n 2055, comes with the y-pipe; 1-5/8" primaries, 3" inlet to the cat. Has AIR and O2 fittings as well. Still less than SLP's.
