Loosing oil WHY ???
What makes a seemingly strong running low mileage engine use oil. I know that it's not a third gen Question but, the causes should be the same. Anyway's my wifes 2002 Montana Van which has the same 3.4 V-6 in it that my 95 Camaro daily driver has uses a quart of synthetic oil every 1500 miles. My 95 that I bought used has 120,000 miles & doesnt use a drop of oil yet her Montana which we bought new & has only 50,000 miles on it, eats the stuff. I swapped it to synthetic @ 20,000 miles "Mobile 1, then to Royal Purple. Then @ 35,000 it starts to use oil ??????. It's not visibly burning it but it has to be since it is not leaking it or showing in the coolant. I swapped back to Mobil ! and it's still using it ??? Is there something plugged up ???? I could really use a little help with this as I'm stumped. Any an all Ideas would be greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Bruce

Thanks for the reply, I'll look it over. Its seems that it's gotta be something pretty simple.
