starter and flexplate question

i have an 87 350 i'm building for my 84 camaro. it has the big 14" flexplate so i know i'l need the small one. if i got one off of a 87 camaro with a 305 would it work? also, what starter would it use? thx

it has a 67 283 in it right now and i forgot what starter it has. would it use the same one?

should work long as both have the same type rear main seal

The flexplate will work. You need a starter with the straight across bolt pattern. If you got one with the offset bolt pattern a starter shop can change nose for the other pattern.
