Power Difference 91 RS vs L98-89 IROC
What do you guys feel is the difference between an L03 and an L98?
The reason I ask this is because I am not too sure if it's worth it to trade my 91 RS for this guys 89 IROC-Z.
I have a bone stock RS, his IROC has Borla Catback exhaust, K&N Airfilters, MSD ignition.
The main thing that's making me worry is that he has 119,000 miles whereas I have only 79,000.
I bought my car for 1,400$, and my uncle painted it for me 650$ viper mettalic blue. The guy wanted $2500 for the IROC, but he said he would take the RS for it. He's a seller of used cars... strange..
When do these cars start falling apart mechanically anyway, is the power diff worth it?
Fuel Economy?
Thanks for the help.
Oh yeah, the IROC is G-92 optioned and has a mean fiberglass cowl hood on it (not painted though...)

I'm normally not one to give my opinion so here's my best effort...
Do you want more power? If so, get the IROC
Do you want a pretty paint job? If so, keep your RS
It all boils down to what you want.
Do a search for "milage" or "miles" on this board and you'll see MANY cars with well over 150K miles on them, including mine. So reliability shouldn't be a concern of yours, unless that IROC was beat to death and poorly maintained.

I've got over 230,000 on my 91 and it still looks great and halls a$$ too. Main thing for me would be to check the suspension on it to see how worn down it is. But if you get it you'll probably change that anyway! Welcome to the obsession.
