I'm running MSD wires and NGK plugs. They work great for me.

I just installed MSD wires this winter and I'm very happy with them.I have headers and so far no problems with them burning or anything like that.I feel that they were worth the extra $.

MSD Super Conductors. But not NGK plugs. No problems. They're great! And they come in BLACK!!!

And for you 1987 owners who can't seem to find any custom-fit wire sets for your engine, if you have the separate ignition coil(HEI), you're a late-'87, so the 88+ wires are for you. But as simple as that seems, you wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a wire manufacturer who could confirm that! MSD was the ONLY one.

So go for the MSDs. You'll get, not only one of the best wire sets available, but also one that fits your engine PERFECTLY! I'm very happy with them.

The 8.5mm Black Super Conductor wires are #31833 for 88+ cars.

The 8.5mm Red Super Conductors are #3183-9.

These are the ones I just got from summit yesterday.

MSD-31189

They are MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Universal Spark Plug Wires

They come with both 90* and 180* boots, and a crimper for fixing their length. Plus they are super long so you can run them as you like. I also got the "Made for you" wire looms. I am going to run them through those and around my Hooker 2055 headers.
