Oil leak from exhaust port?

Just removed my exhaust manifolds this afternoon and noticed that one of the exhaust port on the driver side had some oil in it.

My car has been leaking a little bit of oil and I couldn't find out where it was coming from. I was told it was the rear main seal but maybe it was not after all. What do you guys think?

Valve cover gasket... any oil that leaks from there runs right down onto the exhaust ports

Sorry, but the valve cover gaskets were replaced and no oil is leaking from there. It really looks like it coming out of the exhaust ports. I noticed that the only time it's leaking is right after the motor is turned off. If the car has been sitting for a while it stops leaking.

Yeah, if there is oil in your exhaust port you have head problems. Let me guess, your car smokes upon start up.... You need some guides, or valve seals. more than likely you can knurl the guides, either way you live with it, or you pull the heads.
