Rear oil seal on 86 Camaro 305 V8
How can I tell if my engine has a 1-piece or a 2-piece rear main oil-seal without removing the oil pan? The engine is on a stand and access to the flex plate is easy. I can see an aluminium plate bolted to the rear of the block behind the flexplate. Is this of any help? The reason I need to know this is that I want a cast aluminium pan for this engine. Which brings me to my next question! Anybody know where I can get one of these pans?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I have the 1986 shop manual:
The oil pan gaskets are one piece for all V8 engines in 1986.

K&N Air filters
Next mod = trans-go shift kit (level 1)
