Electric water pumps

I was just curous if anyone uses an electric pump. I got excited when I was reading about them, but then I realized it has a good chance of shorting out and you cant get heat. What are your opinions?

Water pumps really don't use much hp if any down low. I know some high performance pumps (high flow) don't take more than 3hp in the upper rpm range. Heck, 3hp, I'd take the loss for the reliability and I don't think 3hp for $200 is a very good bang for the buck kind of deal.

Dale Earnhart, you have done so much, you will be missed.

i have a moroso race only eletric pump. i'm not sure what the differance is in it over the street pump. at any rate i don't think i'd run one on the street, any gain would be small and hard to measure, on the strip everything helps, plus you can run the water pump with out the engine on.
