Hey guys. A few months ago I hooked up a TCC lockup switch, but in the process of doing so I uncoupled the shifter linkage to have some better access and put it all back together when I was finished.
2 months later (really only driven about 5 miles since then) the shifter wasn't working so I checked the linkage and sure enough it came off of its bracket. Stuck it back on and it felt damn secure.
Yesterday it came off again and now I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing.
There's a holder for the linkage and then on the linkage itself there's a clip type thing that slides into this holder to keep it in place. Is there something else that's supposed to go there to prevent it from falling off because that's not working!
Thanks.

Are you saying it's sliding out of the bracket that bolts to the oil pan or the "arm" (memory fails me now!) that goes into the valve body that the end is attached to?
