TPI or CARB
Well, TPI systems are more adept at making torque. 350's came with TPI, TBI and carbs I think.. not too sure. Each system has it's perks. For instance, carbs are relatively cheap and when properly tuned can put out great amounts of power. TPI's can put out great amounts of power as well, but are a LOT more expensive. On the upside, emissions testing is usually easier to pass with a fuel injected (TPI/TBI/EFI/MPFI) system.
If budget is a concern and emissions isn't, I'd say go with a carb.

Well TPI is nice, if you don't have to work with state laws go with carb. Nice and simple, no computers, no worry about proms, no sensors to go bad. If you looking for power and gas mileage and you have lots of money then TPI is the way to go. If you want power with less hassle but you will give up some gas mileage carb. Not to mention there is thousands of parts :-) its been arounds forever!

In third gens 350s only came with TPI. Fuel injection is alot less hassle, and alot easier to diognose. Carb isn't as efficient, and with out a computer, you really can't change elevation too much. Even the LG4s with the feed back quads won't let you be at peak performance when going up, or down 1000 or so feet in elevation. But, for the money, carb is the way to go. The intake alone for TPI is around $2000 new. Show me an intire carb, cleaner, intake, gaskets, and header system,(for the street) that costs that much!!!!!

They both have their ups and downs, Carb is Deifnately easier to get going intially.
