voltage

What is normal for a voltage reading? Usually it will read 13, but it will drop off to about 10 or so at times of idle.

87,

Normal voltage should be between 13.2 and 14.7 when the battery is fully charged and load is not beyond the output capability of the alternator at a given RPM. At idle, the accessory load can exceed the output capability and cause voltage drop. This can be normal and does not necessarily indicate a charging system problem.
