250 inline 6

What side are the freeze plugs on? Drivers or passengers? The motor is in my 1979 chevy SWB. I just got it to tow my convertible with. I put water in the radiator and it comes out the back drivers side of the motor. YOUCH!!!! Any ideas? All help would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!!!

Bort,

Umm, that could also be a CHEVROLET 250 inline six. There were only about eleventy-jillion of them produced from 1963 through at least 1976 (1977 model year). Just a possibility...

TB,

The majority of the core plugs on the cylinder head are on the right (passenger's) side, as well as the front and rear. There are a few real SOB plugs under the manifolds on the driver's side. The case has a row of them along the camshaft area, again somewhat hidden from view by the manifolds, and along the opposite side.

I like the old 250-6s (I steal the timing gear oil nozzles out of them for the chains on SBC builds).
