My friends 88 Formula 305 TPI is experiencing an intermittent idle problem. THe car will run great for a while, and then all of a sudden, when you slow down to stop. It wont idle, just drop and die. All new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. The timing is correct. The TPS is fine, it is correctly adjusted, could it be IAC?? I will try cleaning it first, but if it still doesnt idle, then how can i tell if the IAC is bad??? Or could this be fuel related? Possible fuel filter..injector problem..fuel related at all??? Any suggestions are welcome, it is dangerous when driving a car that dies without warning!!
