Please help....car won't start....might be the battery....w/n

I drive a 91 firebird (305 TBI) and it has been sitting up for a while. Every once in a while I go out and start her up. Last week I went out to start it and the battery was dead. When I turned the key it made a clicking noise. So I new it was the battery. Got a jump and it cranked up.Just now I went out there and when I turn the key to the start position I get nothing at all. Somtimes I will get like a little buzzing noise. Is it my battery??
Thanks!
Brent

Make sure the connections of the cab;es are clean and tight. If they are, it's the battery.

Had almost the exact same thing happen to me last week. It is the battery. My car was sitting for six months with my wife starting it every couple weeks. When I got home it wouldn't kick over. Had my friend give me a jump. Ran fine. Tried to restart it after an hour of idling and I got the same sounds you got. Put in a new battery and it roared to life immediately. I got one of those DieHard Security batteries. They're a little pricey but a cheap way to have a kill switch (car alarms are just noise makers).
