Breaking in valve springs ?

the sales rep at comp cams told me when i break in my valve springs to remove the inner spring. Is that really necessary because i dont really want to have to remove the springs again to pput the inner spring back in. Thanks

Yep, if you are breaking in a flat tappet cam you could ruin it by running to much spring.

Thats the deal.
