Engine shutting off at red lights

I realize that this question is not for my "thirdgen" car, but I'm desperate! In addition to my camaro, I also have a 95' Grand Prix 3.1 liter engine, automatic. It has started occasionally stalling while in a stopped position. Once I give it gas, it's fine. I can stop the stalling process by giving it gas. Please Help!!! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Though it could be any number of things, it sounds like a bad TPS sensor

Though it could be the TPS sensor, it's not throwing any codes. No SES light is coming on at all.

I don't know much about GPs, but bad IAC maybe, it didn't throw a code on the ROC.

he is right, it could be any number of things. a dirty fuel filter will do the same thing, or a weak fuel pump. yes, a TPS would do it, but i dont know if the IAC would. just my .02

IVE FIXED ALOT OF PONTIACS,WE SELL ALOT OF GRAND PRIXES AND GRAND AMS.
THE IAC IS THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE.IT IS BOLTED ONTO THE THROTTLE BODY BY A COUPLE OF TORX SCREWS.PULL IT OUT,AND CLEAN THE PASSAGE+THE IAC ALL TO HELL WITH SOME CARB+CHOKE CLEANER.IT MIGHT BE IN YOUR BEST INTEREST(ESPECIALY IF THIS CAR HAS SOME MILES ON IT)TO COMPLETELY PULL THE THROTTLE BODY OFF AND CLEAN THE BACKSIDE OF THE THROTTLE PLATE TOO AT THE SAME TIME
LATER!
