i'm going to be building a 350 for my 84 and i was just wondering how everyone elses 350s run.

i guess just post your engine and drivetrain setup and 1/4 times or HP.

here's how mines going to be:

041 heads, crane 278-2 cam, about 9.5:1 compression, headers, 3" exhaust, performer intake, and 600cfm performer carb.

my trans is a th2004r(going to be rebuilt this weekend) and 3.23 gears. i'm hoping to swap in a 9 bolt with something like 3.73-4.10.

 

355 with forged speedpro pistons (9.72)
462 vette heads with manley 1.94 1.5 valves
edelbrock performer manifold
600cfm holley vac.sec.
cranecam 272 (216,216/454,454)
double chain
1.5 alu. roller rockers
cranecam valvesprings
standard fuelpump
hv oil pump
shorty dynomax headers with flowtech raptor mufflers (true dual exhaust)

th350 with 2500 hughes converter+stage2 shift improver kit

will add a 4.10 dana60 axle

results? dunno yet

 

Why do you want 4.10 gears with that setup? That cam hardly justifies the gears. Im doing just fine on my setup. Add about 45° @ .050" and .125" more lift at the valve and thats my cam. I have 3.73 gears and it does absolulty fine.

Do 383 setups count? They are based on the 350 platform...
