Lowering and end-link question.
Lowering and end-link question.
Moderators, please don't move this to suspension/brakes, I want it to be seen.
I'm lowering my car 1" - 1 1/4" with either Hotchkis or Edelbrock springs. Should I get end links that are shorter by the lowering amount, or half of the lowering amount? Also, Guldstrand sells those 36mm front sway bar bushings that I, (and lately, everyone) have been looking for. They're graphite impregnated poly, and they're $19.95/ pr. TIA guys.

Hopefully you check this message, and don't check the suspension board!
Here's what I'd do, if I was lowering my car & concerned about the end-links:
Remove the stock end-links.
Put the lowering springs in by-the-book.
Lower the car to the ground.
Tighten any bolts you need to from the spring installation (by-the-book).
Look at the ends of the anti-sway-bar where the end-links would have gone. Look at the spot on the car where the other end of the end-links would've gone (rear=brackets, front=control arms)- I'm gonna call these frame-holes (for lack of a better word!).
Swing the anti-sway-bars so the bar ends are parallel to the frame-holes. Measure how long the sleeve length of an end-link "should be" to keep the bars parallel to the frame-holes. Take into account bushing thickness!
Then, call Summit & order end-link kits with your particular sleeve length, OR, grind off metal from your current end-links' sleeves.
Sound good?
