Is Speed-Motive's Streetmaster 383 shortblock a 1 piece rear seal?
I went to speedmotives site and there 383 Streetmaster shortblock is only $1300 but it doesn't say if it's a late model one piece block or not. There email doesn't work either. Thanks

I can't answer your question, but I did want to say something.....PLEASE don't purchase a motor from these people. They are absolutely terrible people to have to deal with when something goes wrong. Trust me on this, I made the mistake of buying a short block from them last winter. The motor ate the crank up in 4000 miles due to the fact they never align bored the mains. That was one of the major mistakes they made, there were other minor ones too. I'm not saying that every motor they build is a bad one, I am saying if something goes wrong with the one you buy.....you are effed!! Don't make the same $1800 mistake I did. If you can, I would definately deal with someone local and that has a good reputation....it may cost alittle more, but in the long run it's worth it.

I agree with 406TPI. I know two people who got bad engines from SpeedoMotive.
And for that cheap of price, it has to be a 2-piece seal and non-roller cam.
