145 Speedo Swap, What's Involved

Is there much to it? What parts would I need? How labor intensive is it? Thanks.

There's not much to the swap. You need the cluster and/or speedo head. The whole swap is, perhaps, a 45-minute job if you've never done it and are careful. Remove the black plastic bezel and two nuts at the left and right bottom of the white plastic gauge housing. Drop the kick panel (and if I were you, I'd also drop the steering column a 1/4 inch or so). Contort yourself and using a long-bladed screw driver, trip the device that secures the speedo cable to the speedo head. Work the cluster out--and there you are. You might consider swapping the stock bulbs out with krypton/xenon bulbs which are double the intensity. White-faced gauges overlays from McEwen Motor Sports are also an option.

I'd say it will probably be easier than your header install!

Added dual elec fans.
145 MPH IROC Speedo
