cant find what i need to know, want to get rid of a/c and smog pump...
i have a 91 Z28 350 TPI (serpentine system)and i want to clean up the engine compartment. i want to remove everything that has to do with the a/c and i also want to remove my smog pump.
what do i need to buy?
anything i should be aware of when removing a/c components?
exactly what do i need to remove?
ive read about the heater box without a/c, where can i get one and will it plug/mount to existing plugs/mounts?
PICTUREs, PICTURES, PICTURES
any pics will help
please help, i hope to do all this as im working on swapping in my new T56 this week end. thanks

the only thing you'll really need to buy is the non a/c box for the firewall and a a/c delete pulley. there is a tech article on this site (off the homepage) on how to reroute the belt after the smog pump is gone. i don't have pix on this computer but click on the link in my sig for the Formula and there is a pic of my engine bay.

By "smaller radiator" you meant condenser. If you aren't planning on putting the A/C back in after a couple days of not having it in the summer, just take the condenser out. There is freon under hella pressure in the A/C system. Take it to a mechanic and have the system drained before you start removing parts. If you don't you will end up with a sticky oil all over you, your car, the walls... oh yeah, it's also illeagal as hell to discharge that stuff into the air. As for the non-A/C heater box, look on ebay under "1LE" they are on there all the time.
