Electric fuel pump with carb?

Long time no post.... but anyways.

This summer I plan to go through my fuel system. The car is a 1979 Monte Carlo, but the reason I ask here is because of all the fuel injected cars.

The plan is to use a factory intank electric pump in my baffled Grand National gas tank. I'm curious if there is a factory style intank pump that could not only put out enough fuel for a hot small block, but not complain about being regulated down to 6-6.5 PSI. Something along the lines of a pump for a TBI 350 or 454 came to mind, but not sure on that.

I apologize if this is a beat-up subject, but it seemed like a good alternative to a sump, and thoughts on it are nill within the G-body crowd.

TIA for any thoughts.

A Walbro pump with a regulator that has a return port should work well.
