Who has hit 12's with a TBI-Carb swap W/ stock F-pump?

I would like to hit low 13's or so with my TBI-Carb swap and was looking for some ideas. So far my idea is using my 305 Torquers heads, unshrouding the valves, porting them, ZZ4 cam, 9.5-1 compression, 625cfm demon, Holley Projection intake modified for carb, TES, 3.42 gears, and posi. Would I be able to take LT-1's and keep up with Ls-1's light to light?

Sounds like fun.

As far as the fuel pump in conerned...I'm swapping out my 305 TBI with a carbed 383 and I'm leaving the stock pump in the tank with a pressure regulator to make the carb happy with about 6 1/2 PSI. Should be interesting to see if the pump can keep up. If not..I guess I'll have to replace it.

BTW, the 383 will be running about 10:1 comp, Dart Iron Eagle heads, Hyd roller cam, dart Kool can intake, Holley 750 DP, Turbo 350 w/3000 stall, 3.73 posi, SLP 1 3/4" headers, 4" mufflex

I was debating weither or not to get the LT4 Hot cam instead of the ZZ4 cam but I think the Hot cam would lose too much lowend, I really only want a light to light car. I don't plan on running an entire 1/4 mile too often. Just jump to a little over the speed limit, Quickly.

Perhaps try the comp cam 12-238-2......I don't know, just throwing that out there. That's what was highly recommended for my L69, and also what Car Craft put in their 325 HP LG4. I've not finished mine yet, but I'll certainly let you know how it goes. I'm adding headers, holley double pumper 650cfm, and a Weiand 8004 intake manifold. Probably not as wild as yours, but all I'll lack is the heads!! I've already got the 9.5:1 compression.
