Socket size of the oil sending unit....

whats the socket size of the oil sending unit by the oil filter on a stock `89 305

takes a 12 sided special socket, 1 1/16" is close and the other sender has a square on it for a open end wrench

I just bought a sending unit socket at AutoZone last weekend.It's tapered inside for multiple sizes.I think it was $5 or so.

Mine is a 1 3/16 - at the auto parts store. BUT, I removed it with a 1 1/4...
