engine slightly burning oil
my engine is slightly burning oil..

what is usually the main cause for this?

and how much is the fix?

Probably Valve Seals, could be rings.. search the board for info on Valve Seals, I hear they are pretty easy to do, and quite cheap.

do a compression and leak down test will give you a better idea of what or where the problem is

First off if it is only burning some oil on start up then it is the valve seals.
