engine swap?
all SBCs are the same size if thats what you're asking. there are no external differances. i don't think you have any ECM controls to worry about so it should be an easy swap.

Only one problem is if the heads on the 77 are not drilled/tapped for "7 bolts" on the ex. manifold mounting bolt holes.
Not all SBCs have the provisions for the stock ex. manifolds that use the outermost bolts on the pass. side.
