4bbl or TPI?

If you have the 4bbl, then junk the stock air cleaner and look for one from a 305 HO (dual snorkel) or an open element air cleaner.

if you dont have the cash flow now, you should do things that will swap directly over to the 350 when you do get the money... Full exhaust, meaning headers thru muffler, intake manifold (unless you plan on using a vortec headed 350) then you can do gearing in your rear, get those 2.73's out of there and put in 3.73, maybe less if you still want good mileage... you can also put on a posi unit, that will help out your starts a lot. and a little fun addition you can do if you want is to get a chip from tbichips.com ... he takes off the mph limiter so you can go faster than 108 (yes, even a 305/auto will go faster than that) and it modifies some other stuff to give you a little more oomph.. good luck
