Progress on the TA
took the day off of work to get some work done on the TA. Got the heads on, which was an adventure. I somehow got the wrong set of ARP headbolts. pisses me off, $60 down the drain unless i can get summit to take them back, or unload them somewhere else. Went to GM dealer, they didn't have the bolts...finally got to autozone and they had them. i got their last set. I turned in the gear puller i bought last time i was there, so with that credit, i only spent $5 on the set of headbolts and a chiltons...i'm gonna need the chiltons for it's pics so i can put all the hoses/wires back correctly.
so the heads are on....swapped out the stock fuel lines for the customs required for the lt1 intake swap. put the lt1 intake on top to see how it looks....and it looks badass.
also spent a good bit of time fighting rust and cramped spaces to get those bolts off, but i finally got the stock y-pipe off. now i gotta start hooking the groundwires back up and all that. i'm going to leave the intake off for now. i'll just leave it resting there so i can make sure all the hoses and stuff are ran properly, do the 2-3wire dizzy swap, then bolt everything down to specs and fire this sucker up! wont be too much long now! i can't wait to see how this POS 870 ecm is going to handle these mods.
i'll get pics up later. me and wishmaster will have to battle it out for the slowest built 305. lol
