egr=better gas mileage

I have a pretty much stock L03, with headers, and full exhaust. i have had an egr problem for awhile and finally decided to fix it. I had to replace the solenoid, then i brok the hard line going to the valve. i just replaced it with regular vaccum hose. I picked up 5 mpg. i was running 15mpg, now i am at 20 in the city.got 19 on the last, was hard on the throttle. I still pop code 32 after on highway for a little while(only happens if i hit a hard bump).
anyone else pick up mileage like this from fixing their egr?

You'll also want to be sure the EVAP system is working properly, so you can burn all the fuel you're buying instead of allowing it to evaporate.
