Is a 350 Monte SS motor, a roller cam motor?
i have a 350 block from a Monte SS H.O, just wanted to know if maybe some one can tell me if its a roller motor or not....its from i believe an 85 or an 87 idk, i got the block from a buddy

Those never came with 350s.
Get the block casting number, and look it up at www.mortec.com/castnum.htm I'll bet it's a 305.
Look at the rear main seal. If it's a 2-piece, it's definitely not a roller. If it's a 1-piece, it's possible that it could, but not at all certain. Even some 87s that had blocks with the roller provisions cast in weren't equipped with rollers though; for instance my late little brother's 87 L69 had flat tappets. Unfortunately the casting number probably won't tell you whether the factory installed their roller gear in it, even if it's the 87-up block that could have been equipped that way. You'll just have to take it apart and look if it turns out to be 87-up.
