oil flow problem

Hey guys, here's one that baffles me. I am putting together my engine and was running the oil pump and noticed that i am not getting any oil from the passengers side lifters. I drained my oil pan, checked the oil pump, with no problems that i can see. I have oil coming out of the other side, but nothing from the passengers side. can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? does the distributor have to be in place in order for flow to go to that side?

thanks

dale

you need the distributor in place and you need to spin the pump faster than you can with a drill. priming is pretty much a waste of time. it'll prime on it's own when you put oil in it.
