Fuel pump won't turn off?
I tried a search but couldnt find an answer. When I turn my 89 IROC off (all stock everything, L98 TPI) the fuel pump does not turn off. I can hear that the pump is still on. If I turn the car on again, and then turn it off again the pump turns off sometimes. If not, I unplug the battery and it turns off (of course haha). The car exhibits no abnormal driving conditions, starts fine, runs fine. Do you guys think the fuel pump staying on is an indication that it is on its way out? Or a possible electrical issue somewhere in the car? Car has 114k miles and the fuel pump looks like the OEM unit. Trying to prepare for a problem before it happens hehe. Thanks for any info you guys might have.

Unplug the relay, see if it quits. If it doesn't then the oil pressure switch is sticking.
Search for a diagram and you'll see. They are available.
