In the heads: what are these? (picture)

I don't know what either of them are, but they came from the heads.

The one on the left is the fan switch from the passenger side head. The one on the right is the sensor from the driver side head that controls the temperature gauge reading.

BTW- your fan switch sender has the protective plastic insuation broken off. It's supposed to have a plastic shield around that center conductive electrode. Not hyper critical, but thought you might like to know. The plug on the wiring harness needs that plastic shield to clip onto so the wire can't wiggle off.

But as long as it's got a solid connection it's fine?

The plastic broke off of mine too.


I know it's kinda ghetto, but I zip tied the wire to the dipstick tube with a black wire tie. I swear you'd never know!

FYI, if your running a '165 or '730 ecm, and you do your own chips, the second you chance your fan turn on/off that switch is obsolete. I havn't ran mine in about 4 years.
