Is VATS controlled by the computer?
Is VATS controlled by the computer?
Im ripping out the computer to do a 350 carb swap, and im just wondering if ill have any problems with the VATS system...i dont think i will but just making sure.

You didn't say what year your car is, but i have an 89 L03 that was TBI and i converted it over to Carb with the computer removed and i never had a problem with VATS, aside from the key being dirty at the worst times possible. I hate having to wait 4 min, but i would hate having her stolen even worse.

The ECM gets a signal from the VATS module to fire your injectors. Since you wont be having any injectors (LOL), there's nothing to worry about. The only thing VATS will prevent now is the ability to start the car by interrupting the starter circuit. If a thief can bypass that, then your car is gone.
