is anyone running a 4th gen interior with a carb engine? i was just wondering a bout the wiring for that. i figure it would be similar with injection, but carb? im switchin from tpi to carb and only want the basic (4 or so) wires showing. no A/C lines or any other BS layin in there. im also gonna put a 4th gen interior in and was wondering about the wiring from carb engine to those 'new' gauges.

ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!

i must be missing something here. what differance does it make what's under the hood in relation to the interior? only thing i can think of is the choke lite.

 

Yeah its easier than installing the 4th gen dash in a EFI car and getting the 4th gen guages to work. I'm gonna be running a 4th gen dash in my carb'd car too. But I dunno about using the 4th gen guages with a carb'd car. I'm gonna be running Autometer MPH and RPM guages with a custom bezel in place of the 4th gen guages. Rest of the guages are going in the A/C pods (this is a firebird dash). Push button start, and a few switches.

 

i was thinking about geting some elctric sending units and wiring them up to the gauge cluster.. i bought from some guy the plug for the 4th gen gauges with a little bit of wire on them.. ill wire up the senders and the wire that would go to the gauge just splice it in with the wire for that gauge on the 4th gens gauges.. but i dont know how to get the tach working...

 

Do a search for Mark B, he did the 4th gen dash in his carbed TA.
I think he said that he had everything working and functional.
