wires grounded behind heads?

wires grounded behind heads?

Behind the driver side head, there are about 4 wires attached to a bolt....same on pass side.
does anyone know what these wires are for?

yeah, i figured that. i guess i was more looking for what these wires are actually grounding.

I've never really noticed them there until I was taking the engine out, and they were pulling to keep the engine in...I never took the time to figure out what they were for, I just put them back when I was done...I believe there's a ground-strap to ground the frame to the block on the passenger's side....or atleast for me, other than that...I don't know. You could take them off one by one and see what stops working after each one :-p

yeah. they were giving my driver side head a fit coming out, and i broke off the Ring clips that help them onto the bolt in the back of the head...regular soldering iron won't get hot enough to solder a new connection on...ig uess i'll need a soldering gun
trying to find out what they're for so i dont have to bother with it.

Hello N8MAN1068,

Here are a couple of schematics that will give you an idea of what all those grounds belong too. Please note that these schematics are out of a 1989 camaro GM service manual and all items may not apply in your case. However, it should give you a good idea of what goes where.
