Which gear puller should I buy?

I'm going to the Sears Craftsman store which has like every tool imaginable. They have a large and small gear puller. Just wondering which would be better to have for rebuilding my transmission. The large one is about a foot across, the small one is like half that.

Oh yea, are there any other tools that I should get for rebuilding the transmission?
