Shifting Problem After Convertor Install?

I just had my Vigilante 2800 stall put in and now it shifts extremely early and very very soft.
Prior to putting in the convertor the trans had been rebuilt with a shift kit and vette servo.
Do I just need to adjust the TV cable to fix this?
Thanks

Bob

That's a good place to start.

A higher stall converter will often soften up the shifts. I know mine did noticeably. But it does definitely sound like the cable is in bad need of an adjustment after the install from the other problems you listed.

It looks like the problem was the TV cable was not hooked up to the throttle body after the install. I hooked it back up but since it decided to snow today I can't take it out for a run. Anyway hopefully this solves the problem.
Thanks again

Would this have hurt the trans at all by running without the TV cable unhooked?
I didn't drive too far but long enough to know that something wasn't right.
Thanks
