L98 corvette
What are the differences in my 87 iroc engine and the last of the corvette L98 engines? Would i have to change any computer compononts to rebuild like this? I think i saw 250 or better in a stock vette. Just getting ideas for my rebuild a head of time. 134000 on my a still running very strong.

I know some of the differences.
1. Aluminum heads with no crossover and smaller chambers.
2. Add on EGR (because no crossover)
3. Intake manifold. (Just block off the EGR)
4. Plenum extention is metal, not plastic.
5. I'm pretty sure the cam is different too.
6. Different manifolds (to fit the Y chassis)
7. Different computer (potted in epoxy to mount in engine compartment. there is really no difference in the functions of the ecm, just that it's mil-spec for heat and vibration. The F body ecm will run it no prob.
8. The PROMS are different
There were MAF and SD versions too. Get a compatable ecm or use the ecm from the vette and/or adapt it to your system if defferent.
Basically it's in the heads.
