NEED SOME HEADs
NEED SOME HEADs
I found that I can get heads at a decient price threw Auto Zone. They are stoch tpi heads. Just wondering what the best stoch head for an lg4 would be and would fit.

If they are TPI Heads from a 305 they will work. If they are from the 350, the valves will be too big. You might want to port and polish them too, if you have a dremel, some extensions with various grinders and sanders you can port the heads yourself, and there is lots of room for improvement on heads. I do know that the TPI heads from an LB9 are much better than those off of LO3s and LG4s.

WHat price are they from AutoZone?
Are they new or remanufactured?
Also, i believe that 350TPI heads come with 1.94" valves which will barely clear a 305 bore, but WILL clear. the problem is in the
fact the the heads are 64cc not 58cc like your stock heads so you will lose compression unless you haev the heads milled.
That's the best I remember on this.
