Please dont stop tis thread. Ok Im in a war over whether 3rdgen camaros are faster then fieros. Im the only one over there taking the camaros side its on the message board at fiero.nl. I dont know how to make links but its the thread started by me. Come on over and help me out!!!!
LBC,
If you're talking stock vehicles, there's no comparison. I've got two L4 and one V6 Fieros:
...and one of these:
Even on a bad day, the mostly stock TA will smoke a stock Fiero from zero to 144 MPH, and has done it many times. The V-6 Fiero times are not that great, even on crack. There are many more modded 'F' bodies that make the difference even more embarrasing. A V-6 'F' body would have a lot more difficulty because of the weight differential. The typical 'F' car weight is around 3,380 lbs., while the typical Fiero is around 2,240 lbs. A little horsepower goes a long way in a light car. If you want evidence of that, just ask the ODB.
The Fieros that you really need to watch out for are the V-8 conversions. Many of those will run with anything on the street in the first mile and up to 150 MPH. People that have spent almost $100K on Ferarris and Lambos can be spanked by a V-8 Fiero that is prepared correctly. There are several of those running around the Chicago 'burbs that will probably light the rear tires at 60 MPH.
On the other side of the coin, I have walked away from several V-6 'F' bodies even in the four-cylinder Fiero if I shift well. Then again, most of these 'F' cars should have been donor parts cars at the recycle yard, and were obviously not in the greatest condition.

Incidentally, if you need any Fiero parts, one of these four-holers is soon to be about two inches tall - better hurry...

Why argue. They're convinced 350 TPIs ran mid/high 15s. Not going to waste my time. BTW, I used to beat the CRAP out of a friend's 86 GT w/ my old 305 TPI auto. I like the way the later fastback GTs look, but they lack a decent motor and are slower than crap... I have seen some Fieros online w/ v8s thrown in them that I wouldn't mind owning. So light they'd be fast as **** w/ a real motor in them...

I love how the later GT's look as well, I want to get one and drop a buick 3.8 turbo in, that would be insane!
stock they are slow though, my old LG4 held one off and back then it would only get high 16 sec passes.

LBC, you forgot one of the V8's on your list there....the L69 305 4bbl HO!! I've spanked dozens of those domestic buzzbombers with my L69, what the heck are they thinking? Neither of the Fiero engines could hold a candle to my car, unless they're turbo'd or something...I gotta get to a dyno and see how much HP i'm cranking out of this old mill.
