Speedometer stopped working after installing silver gauges

89 L98 GTA

Ok, I finally decided to install my cool silver gauges and everything went well, my biggest worry was not breaking a needle but now my speedo stopped working, I checked all the fuses and they are fine. My Speedo is the only gauge that doesn't work, where do I start?

Did you plug the speedo cable back in?

Is the overlay preventing the needle from moving? Or is it an actual speedometer that you installed?

Judging by the fact that he was worried about not breaking the needle, i am thinking it is an overlay.

Did you remove the cluster for the install, or was it done with the cluster in the car still? Other than that, like CaysE said, make sure the overlay isn't preventing the needle from moving.

they are not overlays, they are the gauges from procarparts.com. I removed all the old gauges and installed these, the only gauge that does not work is the Speedometer gauge.

faulty gauge. Try going back to the store and replacing it.
