I have a 1986 tpi 350, i have just replaced the lifters, plug wires (accel super stock 8mm)and the sparkplugs i have also just put flowtech headers on it and have been driving it around open headers for a few days now .I put the whole thing back together and it runs strong but it has a skip at idle, it doesent do it all the time.It only skips when the engine is hot. It doesnt just skip it almost seems like the engine is loosing spark, but randomly. It also does it on deceleration. The only things i can think of is a misadjusted rocker arm or a bad distributer but i realy dont have money to throw at it. The spark plugs i put in it were supposed to be pre gapped but they sat on my tool cart for atleast a year before i put them in. im thinking maybe they got banged up a little?? The thing that gets me the most is the engine will run great under a load and it idles on a dime but randomly has this skip any info will help thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
