Why does my idle wander?

After the car is warmed up, the idle wanders quickly from 500 to 800 rpm. Would a vacuum leak somewhere cause this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Definately check for vacuum leaks, this is exactly what they cause. also check that the runners are tight and have a good seal, some of those bolts are tough to get to. Since you're going from 5-800 rpm, I would suspect a small leak, maybe one of the smaller outlets like the ignition advance or cruise control. If you suspect a line, take it off and cap the inlet to see if the idle is smoother.

Check that IAC motor, mine has loose to the touch when I checked it and had a shaky idle.
