Engine blocks????

What is the difference between a 400 pontiac and a 400 chevy will they bolt up to the same transmissions and so on?

just about everything is differant and the pontiac won't bolt up to a chevy trans.

The aircleaners are interchangable and the (I think) the oilpan plugs are the same.
