Starters

How hard is it to change a starter in a 1992 Trans Am 305 TPI?

Do I need to move anything?

Is the starter where I can get at it?

I want a little advice before I order parts etc.

Thanks!

Some of the guys out here suggest dropping the Y-pipe out of the way, but you can get the starter out without removing other parts. You just have to get the starter in just the right position and it will slide out.

Don't drop the Y-pipe, unless you have a hoist and transmission jack... they don't always like to go back on
